Most AI tool directories are one of two things: an unfiltered list of every tool that submitted itself, or a ranking shaped by who paid for placement. AI Tool Chest is neither.
I'm Rowan Hale. I've spent five years building and scaling technology products — developer platforms, AI systems, growth infrastructure. I've evaluated and implemented AI tools across marketing, operations, and development, not as a reviewer observing from the outside, but as someone who had to decide whether these tools were actually worth putting into a workflow.
That's the lens here. Not "is this tool impressive" but "does it hold up when you actually use it, and is it worth your time and money."
Tools are covered based on hands-on use, documented research, and awareness of what practitioners are actually using. No paid placements. No sponsored rankings. Affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly and don't influence verdicts.
I don't cover tools I can't verify are still actively maintained, and I don't publish a score until I'm confident in it.
